The Croatian Register of Shipping (CRS) is Croatia’s national classification society and a full IACS member. It is authorised by the Croatian flag state and recognised by a number of other flag states to issue statutory certificates on their behalf.
How to Verify
1. Contact CRS directly
CRS provides vessel class records through its official website. Search by IMO number or contact CRS directly to verify current class status and certification.
2. Red flags
- Certificate contact email not at a CRS domain
- Classification society named anything other than “Croatian Register of Shipping”
- No unique certificate reference number
