1. Use the RINA vessel search
RINA provides online access to class records through its official website. Search by IMO number to verify current class status and valid certificates.
2. Red flags
- Certificate contact email not at a RINA domain
- Classification society named “RINA International,” “RINA Maritime,” or similar additions — the genuine entity is simply “RINA”
- No unique certificate reference number
